The Puget Sound Career Development Association will be participating in a guided tour of the Gates Foundation Visitor Center on Saturday, February 7th.  The tour is free and open to members,  guests, and interested participants. 

Plan to arrive at the front entrance between 10:30 am and 10:45 am.  Our 60 minute tour will begin at 11:00 am. 
 
Following the tour, participants are invited to a no-host networking lunch at an area eatery.

From the Gates Foundation Visitor Center:
Anticipating a group of 25 adults and will be welcoming attendees at the front entrance which faces 5th Ave N. Your tour leader will be presenting approximately a 60min tour.
 
Visitor Center policies are:
  • No food or drink
    • Some storage will also be available for any large bags or coats.

Many of the public streets around the Visitor Center are busy. Cross at your own risk and please use caution when crossing streets (Cross at 5th& Republican) and parking, especially if you are bringing a group of students or children. 
 
Carpools/Transit:  If visitors are arriving individually in cars or using transit, there are a number of options for getting to the Visitor Center.  Metro transit busses #3, #4, each stop in front of the Foundation (5th and Mercer stop).  The monorail also stops in Seattle Center, about a 7 minute walk to the Visitor Center. If you are driving, numerous street parking options exist, or visitors may use the Seattle Center Garage (access garage through either 5th & Harrison, height 8’2” or 5th & Republican, height 6’ 10”) at a hourly rate.  Please note that no parking validation is available.
 
Construction: Mercer Corridor Project
SDOT crews have begun construction on the new SR 99 overpass and the widening of Mercer St. to the south.
